Cooperative Building Solutions renovated Prairie Land Electric Cooperative’s existing headquarter facility located in Norton, Kansas. Prairie Land Electric serves almost 14,000 members with over 24,000 meters in parts of 18 Northern Kansas Counties. Prairie Land Electric has more than 80 full-time employees that maintain and operate nearly 7000 miles of line.

This project includes the renovation and addition to a pre-engineered metal structure. The addition is two levels of office space. The new building entry element leads to a secure lobby space that serves the members for their customer service and billing needs. The basement includes a new server room, file room, and mechanical room. The remainder of the lower level space is a meeting room addition which will connect to the existing meeting room. All work was completed while the facility stayed in full operation.
