Cooperative Building Solutions designed and constructed a new Operations and Support facility for Cimarron Electric Cooperative in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Cimarron Electric Cooperative distributes electricity from 22 substations, over 4,596 miles of line, to 18,000 meters in 9 counties.

This project included the construction of a new warehouse and a renovation to an existing warehouse. The new warehouse, designed as a pre-engineered steel building with pull-through truck bays to minimize reverse traffic, was completed first to allow for a phased move-in. Energy-efficient features, including LED lighting, were incorporated throughout the facility. The existing warehouse was repurposed into an engineering and operations center with an open-office layout and industrial design, with modifications to increase natural light. Additionally, a storm-hardened area was added for disaster recovery.
