96,700 SQUARE FEET
Cooperative Building Solutions designed and constructed a new headquarter facility for Cuivre River Electric Cooperative (CREC) in Troy, Missouri. Established in 1941, CREC serves more than 70,000 members across five counties: Lincoln, Montgomery, Pike, St. Charles, and Warren counties in Missouri. CREC is the largest of Missouri's 40 consumer-owned electric distribution cooperatives.
The facility spans 14 acres and includes an office, warehouse, and vehicle storage building, as well as a vehicle maintenance and covered storage building. The office is a tilt-up concrete structure, while the vehicle storage and maintenance buildings are pre-engineered metal. The building’s façade serves as a key element for screening, creating an attractive visual along the highway, while the entrance and roof design enhance visibility from the street despite the large setback.
