CBS Partners with multiple electric cooperatives throughout texas
Cooperative Building Solutions recently completed multiple headquarter facility projects in Texas.
Fayette Electric Cooperative (FEC) partnered with Cooperative Building Solutions to plan, design, and build their new headquarter facilities located in La Grange, Texas. As determined in the Facility Planning Study, FEC was in need of larger, more energy efficient facilities to house their growing volume of employees and equipment. The extensive project included a new 21,706 square foot office space, as well as a 10,479 square foot warehouse, providing ample room for the cooperative to grow beyond its current staffing needs.
Both FEC employees and members will benefit from the new headquarter location as it is now more centrally located to the existing yard facility, leading to improved operations and logistics planning. Members can also take advantage of the convenient drive-thru window, additional parking, and an improved lobby space.
Construction of a new headquarter campus was also completed at Fannin Electric Cooperative in Bonham, Texas. Fannin EC's double-digit load growth over the last several years led to a need for improved facilities to better accommodate their staff and serve their members.
Cooperative Building Solutions worked closely with the Fannin EC team to plan and design a campus to best suit their unique needs. The project consisted of a new 18,505 square foot office space featuring multiple conference rooms equipped with multimedia capabilities, an employee break room, and convenient drive-thru window. The new 8,688 square foot warehouse boasts higher racking and a floorplan that allows for more efficient loading and unloading. Additional building highlights include energy efficient lighting and ventilation, improved security features, and updated technology throughout the campus.
